Volvo Penta D1 Saildrive is an integrated package with a well-matched Saildrive, featuring a naturally aspirated diesel engine using a cam-driven, in-line injection pump, and freshwater cooling. Together, the package offers you low cruising rpm with reduced noise and vibrations.

Smooth operation with reduced vibration levels is achieved through a dynamically-balanced design with efficient rubber isolation. Lower engine speed, combined with an inlet air silencer, helps reduce noise levels and enhances onboard comfort.

This engine provides high torque at low rpm, offering ample power and responsive handling when maneuvering in marinas, strong headwinds, or confined spaces.

With a rigid engine block and a one-piece cylinder head, this Volvo Penta marine diesel engine is designed and built for strength and durability. Together, the engine and Saildrive form a sturdy and efficient package designed for easy installation.

High-capacity charging is included as a standard feature. The 115A alternator includes an electronic sensor that supports higher battery capacity. Even at idle speed, the alternator provides more than 35A, and at cruising speed it delivers approximately 100A.

The engine is equipped with freshwater cooling as a standard feature. This helps reduce internal corrosion and enables the engine to maintain a consistent and suitable working temperature in various conditions.
